Camps

Camps start on Sunday with registration at 10:00 am at the assigned residence hall. There will be a camper/parent meeting for all campers (both commuter and residential) at 1:00 pm in Swarthout Recital Hall. Private lesson registration will begin in Murphy Hall immediately following this meeting. Audition results will be posted by 6:00 pm, with the first rehearsals for all groups beginning at 6:30 pm Sunday evening.

All camps have a full schedule, with classes beginning at 8:00 am and ending at approximately 5:00 pm daily.

Evening activities (encouraged, but optional for commuters) include recitals, concerts, and recreational and social activities. Faculty/staff recitals usually occur on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in Swarthout Recital Hall in Murphy Hall, and buses will take students to Lawrence City Band concerts in South Park on Wednesday evenings. All evening activities are available for both commuter and residential campers. (Movies or bowling may require additional fees).

Band, orchestra, and choir concerts are on Saturday and jazz ensemble concerts are Friday evening in the Lied Center. Marching camp exhibitions will be held on Thursday afternoon.
